Aqualytix’s journey from rebranding to triumph success in water hygiene

Two years ago, Severn Trent Services Water Hygiene rebranded to Aqualytix to better align with its future goals.

The name ‘Aqua’ signifies their expertise in water treatment and Legionella control, rooted in the water industry. ‘Lytix’ highlights their focus on leveraging data to enhance customer experiences.

Over the two years, Aqualytix has thrived. From increasing their headcount by 49%, to achieving record profits and acquiring the Water Treatment and Hygiene Specialists, Lakeside. This success underscores Aqualytix’s vital role within the Severn Trent Services family.

Neil Tod, our managing director of Aqualytix, reflected on the last twelve months specifically saying,

I’m delighted to report that Aqualytix continues to go from strength to strength. Thanks to our amazing colleagues and customers, the last year has seen our business grow at the fastest rate ever.
The fantastic acquisition of Lakeside Water has further bolstered what has been a brilliant year! I can't wait to see what the next year brings.”

Jon Blackall from Lakeside also wanted to share…

We officially joined the Aqualytix team just 6 months ago, and it’s been great. Whilst they were not yet fully integrated, it’s been seamless so far. The people in Aqualytix and Lakeside are working extremely well together, and I see a lot of potential for how we can use our individual skillsets for future success. Combined we’re a great team and are all looking forward to what the future holds for us.

As well as succeeding within the acquisition space, Aqualytix have also completed some staggering numbers. In just 12 months they’ve now completed over ONE MILLION Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks, completed 847 training sessions and even increased their team by 49%. And if that wasn’t enough our Head of Compliance, Kris Rowland, has also supported the wider industry through holding now six Midlands Legionella Focus Groups, with a seventh already booked in for the new year. These events have seen over 100 industry experts come together to talk about hot topics in water hygiene. Such as, the digital revolution, how we can best utilise AI, and even when dosing goes bad.

Aqualytix’s remarkable growth and achievements over the past two years underscore its pivotal role within the Severn Trent Services family. The successful rebranding, strategic acquisition of Lakeside Water, and impressive operational milestones reflect a company that is not only thriving but also poised for continued success. With a dedicated team and a clear vision for the future, Aqualytix is well-positioned to lead the way in water treatment and hygiene. As Neil Tod and Jon from Lakeside have highlighted, the collaborative spirit and shared expertise within the team promise even greater accomplishments in the years to come.

Here’s to a future filled with innovation, growth, and continued excellence for Aqualytix.
