Here in our education area you’ll find lots of fun activities that kids can complete – either on their own or with help from parents, guardians or teachers – to learn even more about how water works and its vital role here on earth.

Kids Activity Sheets
We have a bunch of fun activity sheets for kids, suitable for children aged 4+. They cover some fantastic topics including water, sewers and blockages, fun in the sun, hydration and much more.
Workshops and School Visits
We live and breathe water at Severn Trent. Not a day passes without us exploring new ways to source it, look after it and ensure all our customers can enjoy it every day of the year.
Our passionate team are determined to share this knowledge with as many people as possible and offer a range of free activities as well as site visits for primary schools and community groups.
Family Days and Community Events
We attend community events such as the Ministry of Defence family days and a number of Community events. Naturally we’re happy to tailor our workshops and provide talks and presentations geared towards audiences of all ages.
These workshops can be used to highlight simple day-to-day changes that will help avoid blockages, lower waste and have a positive impact on the environment.
Educational Site Tours
Ever wondered how we turn waste into clean water? Thanks to our team, you’ll soon have more answers than questions.
We offer free site tours to primary schools and adult community groups within our region, providing a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of a treatment works.
Due to their popularity, availability is strictly limited and pre-booking is absolutely essential. All site tours are run by our education team who’ll discuss the unique requirements of your group prior to confirming the booking.
School and College Careers Events
Severn Trent Services undertake a huge variety of activities relating to Water, Waste Water and Environmental services and each and every one of our team is passionate about the job they do.
We will try to attend as many careers events as possible including those held at schools and Colleges. With so many events in our area, we can’t always get to or we may not be aware of every event.
