As a business customer, we know it’s important for you to have a water and sewerage supply that you can rely on, as well as great customer service that’s at the right price for your business.
That’s why Severn Trent is intending to enter into a Joint Venture (JV) with United Utilities to combine our non-household retail businesses. This new company would take care of the management of your business accounts including billing, payment and account queries. As an existing business customer, you’ll continue to receive all of your other water and sewerage services from Severn Trent as these aren’t affected by the proposed JV.
You’ve told us that you’d like more choice as well as service innovation. The business market is opening in 2017 and by creating a JV we believe we can deliver what you’re looking for – better, more efficient and more competitive retail offers for business customers.
The proposed JV still needs to be approved by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), which we expect to receive in Spring 2016. Once the CMA approval comes in, we will be in touch and let you know what it means to your business in plenty of time.
